LiveXLive Secures Live- Rights to Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE) Festivals
LiveXLive has announced an exclusive global live streaming and multi-platform distribution agreement with Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE).
The LiveXLive SGE deal will see LiveXLive streaming select performances from 11 upcoming SGE festivals and events. The live stream event will include related original content as well as episodic programming.
SGE was founded in 2009 by John Reese, and has produced over 50 music festivals in partnership with artists. The company is slated to produce 20+ music festivals this year with over 1 million ticket sales.

- Real Street Festival (partnership with iHeart Media)

Beyond the music, SGE is also working to deliver ‘immersed lifestyle elements’ for select festivals. Accordingly, LiveXLive is aiming to bring as much of that ‘immersive’ feeling to its live-streaming transmissions.
“LiveXLive is focused on artist discovery, and we’re excited about our partnership and our mutual goal of expanding the beautiful experience of live music through organic, immersive discovery augmented by artist engagement,” Reese said.
The LiveXLive SGE deal will kick-off on May 31st with Camp Anarchy, which is a three-day punk rock festival in Thornville, OH. Over the course of those three days, 35,000 punk rock fans will be in attendance.
LiveXLive calls itself the ‘first live social music network,’ offering premium live streams and digital audio content. The company also delivers on-demand music experiences from some of the world’s top music festivals. Previous LiveXLive concerts have included Rock in Rio, EDC Las Vegas, Hangout Music Festival, and several others.
Meanwhile, others are jousting into this territory, including YouTube. Just recently, YouTube expanded its Coachella live-stream to both weekends. The video giant reported record viewer counts over both weekends.
Beyond live festival content, LiveXLive also focuses on artist exclusives, industry interviews, and other content complements.
